A shocking incident has unfolded at The Canaan Land of Kings and Queens church of God, where the presiding pastor of the church, Prophet Amoudu Sunday took the extraordinary step of reporting one church member identified as Uchenna Ajike to the police for gay and bisexuality allegations.

According to reports, the prophet discovered that Uchenna had traveled out of the country without his consent, prompting him to file a report with the authorities on July 31, 2023. This move has left many in the congregation and outside the church stunned and raised questions about the pastor’s motives and actions.

When questioned about his decision and action, Prophet Sunday stated that as a man of God, he cannot condone or hide the truth about Uchenna’s unrepentant bisexual lifestyle. Prophet Sunday claimed that Uchenna had confessed to his bisexual orientation when he was caught attempting to initiate another church member to join his demonic camp of gays and bisexuals and has since then been undergoing counseling sessions to help him recover even though he has refused to change and rather than trying to get better, Uchenna secretly absconded and traveled out of the country.

Prophet Sunday Amoudu alleged that Uchenna had violated their agreement to attend the weekly counseling sessions and church services. As a result, Prophet Sunday hopes that Uchenna will face the full consequences of the law upon his return to the country so that he won’t negatively influence other people in the society to join his canal lifestyle.

This incident has sparked a heated debate within the church community, with some members expressing support for Prophet Amoudu’s actions, while others have criticised his decision to involve law enforcement.

Critics argue that the prophet’s actions constitute an overreach of his authority and an infringement on Uchenna’s trust of pastoral confidentiality. They also point out that the prophet’s actions may be seen as discriminatory and damaging to other members of the church community who at one point or the other shared personal information with the prophet.

On the other hand, supporters of Pastor Owolabi argue that he is simply upholding the biblical principles of the church and protecting the congregation from what they see as immoral behavior.
