Speaker Guwor pledges progress in Delta

The Delta House of Assembly speaker, Dennis Guwor, has assured residents that the state will continue to record progress under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Mr Guwor (PDP-Warri South West), in his goodwill message on Wednesday to mark the New Year celebration, called for the unwavering commitment of every critical stakeholder to the state’s development agenda.
The speaker reaffirmed the parliament’s dedication to supporting the governor’s initiatives to ensure that every sector of the state benefits from the ongoing transformation.
Mr Guwor, the national treasurer of the Conference of Speakers of State Houses of Assembly in Nigeria, assured that infrastructure development, economic empowerment, social welfare, and good governance would remain major priorities of the state government in 2025.
“As your elected representatives, we remain committed to working tirelessly to promote the welfare and development of our dear state.
“We will continue to prioritise the needs of our citizens, foster economic growth, and ensure that Delta remains a place of opportunity and prosperity for all.
“Let us embrace the spirit of hope, unity, and resilience that defines us as a people. May we continue to support one another, uplift those in need, and strive for a brighter future,” he said.
