Lagos mobile app 90% completed: Commissioner

The Lagos state commissioner for transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, says the innovative mobile application called the ‘Omo-Eko App’ is 90 per cent completed.
Mr Osiyemi said this during stakeholder engagement to review the progress made in the development of the innovative mobile application on Friday in Lagos.
“The cutting-edge application is designed to provide residents and visitors with a one-stop solution for all transportation-related activities and essential updates about Lagos State.
“The app will offer real-time navigation, information about the Ministry of Transportation and its agencies, and updates on traffic and other developments across the state.
“It is a step toward making Lagos a truly smart city by leveraging technology to improve accessibility, enhance service delivery, and simplify life for residents and commuters,” he said.
The commissioner said the app would be unveiled soon, adding that it would mark a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to transform Lagos into a modern, efficient, and user-friendly urban hub.
Present at the meeting were Olalekan Bakare-Oki, the general manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority; the director of Vehicle Inspection Service, Akin-George Fashola; the director of transport operations, Olasunkanmi Ojowuro; representatives from MTN and Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, amongst others.
