Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund have agreed a £77 million transfer bid from Manchester United for Jadon Sancho.

The much awaited deal will include some add-ons in the £77 million deal according to Football transfer oracle, Fabrizio Romano.

The medicals will be conducted on Thursday to complete the deal that would make Sancho the third most expensive player at Old Trafford behind Frenchman Paul Pogba’s £89 million move from Juventus in 2016 and Harry Maguire’s £80 million move from Leicester in 2019.

The 21-year-old football sensation began his youth career with Watford in 2007 before moving on to Manchester City in 2015 at age 14.

He won the UEFA U-17 Championship player of the tournament in 2017 and also contributed to the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup title for England.

In August 2017, Sancho joined Borussia Dortmund for a reported transfer fee of £8 million from Manchester City and has gone ahead to score 50 goals in 140 appearances in all competitions for the German club.

His performances and statistics for the past three seasons where he scored 13, 20 and 16 goals respectively in all competitions attracted top European clubs.

In the just completed 2020-2021 season, Sancho recorded 14 assists and 16 goals  in all competitions for Borussia Dortmund. This is contrast with the 2019-2020 season where he had 18 assists and 20 goals.

With the ability to be versatile in different attacking positions from, Sancho will add to the depth of the current Red Devils squad.

Sancho will be leaving his co-youngsters, Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham and Gio Reyna at Dortmund with whom he has combined well to achieve huge success and win the 2020-2021 DFB Pokal Cup.

Sancho made his debut appearance for the English senior national team against Croatia in 2018 and has scored three goals in 20 games for the Three Lions, mostly starting from the bench.

Sancho’s technical ability and creativity will compete with United players like Daniel James, Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Juan Mata at Old Trafford for playing time.
