Ramadan: NOA urges Muslims to pray for Nigeria’s unity, progress

Ahmad Tijjani, the director, National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Jigawa, has urged Muslims to pray for the unity and progress of the state, and Nigeria at large.
NOA’s head of media and communication in Jigawa, Sarah Ogodo, quoted Mr Tijjani in a statement on Monday urging Muslims to be fully committed to the 2025 fasting, which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
He described Ramadan as a sacred time in which Muslim faithful were expected to rededicate their lives to Allah, through spiritual refinement.
The NOA director also charged them to be their brother’s keeper by exhibiting patience, self-restraint and empathy to the less privileged in their communities.
Mr Tijjani pledged on behalf of the agency to collaborate with the state government in monitoring and observing the 2025 Ramadan activities across the state.
