The Adinkra Alliance Institute has opened applications for its inaugural edition fellowship, which is scheduled to be held in February 2026 for Africans interested in building leadership capacity across various sectors, including business, civil society, technology, public service, etc.

“It aims to select candidates that share notable accomplishments; exert the talent, passion, and shared values that have the potential to contribute to transformative change in their communities and black communities,” the institute said.

The fellowship will select 20 candidates (under 40 years) to work in groups of two to five to develop solutions for “some of the most pressing challenges that black communities are facing.”

Ten candidates will be selected from Africa, and another 10 will be chosen from Black applicants living outside the continent.

“Fellows will engage in immersive leadership development, cross-cultural exchange, and strategic networking opportunities designed to amplify their impact and purpose,” a statement by the institute said on Tuesday.

The best two projects will be awarded $50,000 and given resources for pilot implementation.

“Fellows will participate in high-level events, peer learning sessions, and community-building activities—designed to foster lasting relationships and unlock collective power for change in Black communities around the world,” the institute stated.
