The speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has assured the people of the Bassa community in Kokona Local Government Area that Governor Abdullahi Sule would construct the Dari/ Bassa road before 2027.

Mr Jatau spoke on Saturday at the coronation of Aren Eggon of Agwada and fundraising for the construction of the traditional ruler’s palace in Bassa, Agwada Development Area of the state.

“You can see when we are coming from Dari to Bassa, the road is terrible, and I am appealing to His Excellency to come to the plight of my people by constructing the road.

” His Excellency has done well, and I believe he will construct Bassa road before his tenure will expire in 2027.

”The construction of the road would boost agriculture, the revenue base and socio-economic activities as well as improve the standard of living of the people,” he said.

Mr Jatau urged the people of the Eggon community and other Nigerians to continue to promote their culture for the overall development of society.

He urged the people of his constituency and other people of the state to live in unity and peace and embrace forgiveness to move the constituency forward.

” As the rainy season commenced, I want to urge you, especially the farmers and herders, to live in peace and unity with one another,” he added.

Mr Jatau donated N3 million towards the building of the Aren Eggon  Agwada palace.

Jonathan Gaza, a member representing the Keffi/ Kokona/Karu Federal constituency at the House of Representatives, called on the people to promote their cultural values.
