Fat Joe sues ex-hype man over child abuse allegation

American rapper Fat Joe has taken legal action against ex-hypeman Terrance ‘T.A.’ Dixon for defamation after the ex-crew member publicly alleged that the Bronx-born artiste is a paedophile on social media.
In court documents filed Tuesday and obtained by sources, the rapper, whose real name is Joseph Cartagena, said Dixon began publicly slandering him online after failing to secure compensation he allegedly wasn’t owed.
According to the suit, Dixon posted accusations on social media claiming Fat Joe had inappropriate relations with an underage girl and even shared a photo of Joe alongside DJ Khaled and Diddy, suggesting they were all involved.
Joe’s legal team says Dixon went as far as accusing the rapper of flying a 16-year-old girl across state lines for sex, a claim he strongly denies.
Fat Joe also named Blackburn in the lawsuit, accusing the attorney of helping fuel the scheme.
Blackburn, who is also representing Diddy accuser Lil Rodney in a separate case, has previously been criticised by a federal judge for “salacious” and “abusive” legal filings.
Joe’s celebrity attorney, Joe Tacopina, who represented Asap Rocky in his felony assault case, said the allegations against “Mr Cartagena are completely false and part of a criminal extortion scheme.”
