Kosofe LG distributes exercise books to 7,000 pupils

Kosofe Local Government in Lagos State on Wednesday distributed free customised exercise books to 7,000 pupils in public primary schools across the council area.
The council Chairman, Moyosore Ogunlewe, during the distribution said that the initiative aimed at promoting basic education and support learning at the grassroots.
The chairman was represented by the Deputy Chairman, Oluwole Sosanya.
Mr Ogunlewe emphasised the significance of the initiative, tagged “Edu-Support,” noting that education remains a top priority for his administration.
He explained that the exercise books were not just stationery supplies but essential learning tools that could ease the financial burden on parents and enhance the academic performance of pupils.
He said, “Each of these books carries the emblem of Kosofe Local Government, a symbol that reminds you the government cares deeply about your education and future. This administration’s commitment is to invest in education and create opportunities for young learners to thrive. Similar interventions and educational support programmes will be rolled out in the coming months to strengthen the foundation of public education in Kosofe.’’
Also, Supervisor for Education, Kosofe LG, Adebayo Lawal, reiterated the administration’s dedication to education, urging the pupils to take their studies seriously and make judicious use of the materials provided.
Teachers, parents, and pupils also expressed their appreciation to the council authorities.
They noted that the gesture was timely and impactful.
A parent, Doyin Adejare, expressed her gratitude, noting that the books would ease the burden of providing stationery for her wards.
