Councillor donates education materials to 14 primary schools in Oyo community

Councillor representing Ward 10, Owode-Ipapo, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo State, Ajibola Awujoola, has distributed education materials to 14 primary schools in Ipapo community.
Donating the items, comprising chalks, pencils, registers, correction pens, among other items, on Saturday, Ms Awujoola said that the gesture was part of her efforts to boost the standard of education.
She said, “I choose to impact the education sector among other priorities because education is vital and has contributed a lot to my life, without which, I wouldn’t have achieved so much. It is also to complement the efforts of the state governor, Seyi Makinde, and the Chairman, Itesiwaju Local Government Area, Mr Monsuru Ojo, in boosting the state’s education standard.’’
She commended the teachers for their contributions to the betterment of the children and prayed that their labour and sacrifices would not be in vain.
Ms Awujoola further appreciated the Peoples Democratic Party, Ward 10, Owode-Ipapo, political leaders and members for their support.
Also, the PDP Chairman, Ward 10 Owode-Ipapo, Salaudeen Ganiyu, appreciated the teachers for their tenacity and commended efforts of the councillor for her good initiative.
Responding on behalf of the benefiting schools, a teacher, Usefa Jamiu, thanked the donor, the chairman of local government and the governor for boosting the education sector.
Mr Jamiu further urged the Supervisor for Agriculture, Itesiwaju LGA, Salaudeen Rafiu, to assist the primary schools in the community with agricultural equipment.
The benefiting schools are Baptist Basic School, Ipapo; Anwarul Islam Basic School, Ipapo; ADS Ipapo; Baptist Basic School, Owode; Community Basic School, Gbonkan and Saanu Alasodudu Community Basic School, Ipapo.
Others include Migrant Farmers Basic School, Abegunrin; Community Basic School, Abaaleke; Community Basic School, Ahoro Omo; Community Basic School, Olaifa; Community Basic School, Apata Erinte and Nomadic Basic School, Samokoto.
There are also Nomadic Basic School, Baabo and Migrant Farmers Basic School, Abioye Folemole, Ipapo. (NAN)
