The Delta government has lauded the Tertiary Education Trust Fund for completing the 2024 Special High Impact intervention at the College of Education, Mosogar, describing the agency’s intervention as timely.

Akpodiogaga Emeyese, chairman of the college’s governing council, said this in Abuja on Monday.

Mr Emeyese said, ‘’On the other hand, the administration’s building consists of two suspended floor slabs, a storey building consisting of offices and an administrative block well-furnished and equipped.’’

He noted that the intervention agency was truly improving the quality and standards of public tertiary education in the country.

He revealed that the institution, which was established in 2002, was currently running the National Universities Commission-approved affiliate degree programmes with three universities and more than 15 academic programmes, including postgraduate degrees.

He said universities include the University of Benin, Delta State University, Abraka, and the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt.

The board chairman said that the college’s vision was to be a centre of excellence in the education of the total man, ensuring the total education of individuals.

He added that the mission was to transform aspiring students into well-rounded individuals who can achieve their goals through education, planning, effort, perseverance and execution.

Mr Emeyese noted that the college was known for excellence in sports education, ICT and technology development, adding that the institution boasts a career service centre, standard science laboratory facilities, and hostel accommodation for students.

He further appealed to the TETFund, led by Sonny Echono, to continue to sustain the cordial and mutual working relationship it had built over time with the outgoing provost of the college, Isreal Imide.

On Tuesday, Mr Imide will hand over the college’s provostship to his successor, Samuel Ugboduma.
