Police nab suspected criminals with weapons in Delta

The state police spokesperson stated that one AK-47 rifle, and one pump-action gun were recovered from the suspects.

Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have apprehended three suspected criminals and recovered dangerous weapons from them.

Spokesperson for the command, Bright Edafe, in a post on X, on Tuesday, said the nabbed suspects also carried out criminal activities in Rivers State and some states in the South-East.

Mr Edafe stated, “The command has arrested a 21-year-old male suspect, Idrisu Yakubu, Bello Amodu, aged 40 years, and Umar Mohammed, aged 38 years, The gang operates in Delta and Rivers states and in some parts of the east.

The state police spokesperson stated that one AK-47 rifle, and one pump-action gun were recovered from the suspects.

He stated that the command also recovered an English pistol, pump pump-action gun and a locally made gun from a 53-year-old suspect named Benjamin Benemor.
