Gov. Yusuf commends Kano pilgrims for orderly conduct in Saudi Arabia

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has commended the state’s pilgrims for their uncommon orderly conduct during the ongoing hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Mr Yusuf spoke while addressing the pilgrims at Mina, where he also praised their behaviours, which facilitated the smooth implementation of the Hajj rituals in Madinah, Makkah, Mina and Arafat.
Mr Yusuf said, “I’m pleased with the maturity demonstrated by our pilgrims in all the designated areas. I commend the Kano State Pilgrims Agency for mobilising clerics and officials to guide our pilgrims in conducting hajj rituals according to Allah’s specifications.’’
The governor vowed that the state government would continue to prioritise the State Pilgrims Board, enabling it to effectively discharge their responsibilities.
He expressed satisfaction with the arrangements made for the pilgrims, saying, “I’m pleased with the accommodation, transportation, and feeding arrangements in Makkah and Madinah.”
The governor reminded the pilgrims to adhere to Saudi Arabian laws for a successful hajj experience.
He said, “You must carry your documents with you at all times to avoid any confrontation with the Saudi Arabian security It’s compulsory under Saudi law to have all traveling documents with you whenever you move.’’
Mr Yusuf condoled with the families of two pilgrims who passed away during hajj.
He also reported that one pilgrim went missing in Madinah and assured that the state government, in collaboration with the state’s pilgrims’ agency, was doing everything possible to locate him.
The governor announced a personal donation of 250 Riyals to each of the pilgrims, appealing to them to pray for the souls of those who lost their lives at the national sports festival and the unfortunate fire incident at the Farm Centre.
He also lauded the commitment of the 44 local government chairmen, who stood behind their pilgrims, playing vital roles in supporting the smooth implementation of the hajj rituals.
