Japheth Omojuwa joins board of prestigious Halifax Forum

Nigerian social media commentator and investor Japheth Omojuwa has been appointed to the board of Halifax International Security Forum, a prestigious group for the promotion of strategic cooperation among democracies.
Mr Omojuwa announced the development on his Twitter handle @omojuwa on Friday.
“I am delighted to announce that I accepted the invitation by the Halifax International Security Forum to join its board. This gives me an opportunity to work with such exemplary leaders & change makers who are devoted to strengthening strategic cooperation among democratic nations,” Mr Omojuwa wrote.
In his role, Mr Omojuwa, alongside other members of the organisation, is expected to help foster a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and financial management towards a reliable global security.
“Covid-19 continues to ravage our world, climate change threatens our civilisation, even as anti-democratic elements continue to find expression around the world. The @HFXforum continues to lead global efforts helping to address some of these challenge” he added..
The organisation confirmed Omojuwa’s appointment in a tweet reply on Friday: “We are truly delighted to have @Omojuwa on board and everyone here is looking forward to working closely with him to further advance our mission to strengthen cooperation among the world’s democracies.”
The HFX forum will hold on November 19 and 21 respectively, at Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Mr Omojuwa, a political commentator and new media investor, has written several books and articles, including his Digital: The New Code of Wealth published in mid-2019.
