The Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun State Command, has commended SamAce Pharmaceutical Limited and Abebi Foods Limited for donating essential operational materials to its officers in the state.

The state Sector Commander, Leye Adegboyega, gave the commendation on Wednesday in Osogbo during a courtesy visit by both firms to the command.

The materials donated included reflective jackets and raincoats among others.

Mr Adegboyega said such thoughtful donations spoke volumes about the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and active support for safety in the state.

He said that the reflective jackets and raincoats were not just pieces of equipment but lifesaving tools to enhance the visibility, safety, and efficiency of officers’ patrol.

He said, “It will rescue personnel during night operations and in adverse weather conditions, which is a good thing. These items are coming at a very critical time, especially as we move deeper into the rainy season. Partnerships like this were vital in bridging operational gaps, boosting morale, and ensuring that officers are adequately equipped to carry out their duties effectively. Your support not only reinforces our operational readiness but also inspires us to serve with even greater dedication. Also, today’s presentation is a reminder that the safety of lives on Nigerian roads is a cause that deserves continuous investment by individuals, communities, and corporate organisations alike.’’

He, however, called on stakeholders to join hands with the command in building a safer motoring environment to benefit everyone who traversed Osun State roads.

Responding, Managing Director, SamAce Pharmaceutical Limited, Dr. Sam Olawoye, said his company was not driven by its commitment to healthcare alone but a broader vision of safeguarding life in every form.

Mr Olawoye noted that road safety and public health were deeply interconnected, while a safe environment was essential to the well-being of any community.

Also, the Managing Director, Abebi Foods Limited, Adebisi Ganiyat, said FRSC played significant roles in saving lives, promoting public order, and ensuring road safety.

She said, “They perform these duties under very challenging and unpredictable conditions.

“I commend the sector commander for his proactive and collaborative approach to road safety in the state.’’
