Army conducts NADCEL public speaking engagement in Kaduna

The Nigerian Army on Friday conducted a public speaking engagement at the Barewa College, Zaria, Kaduna State.
The event was part of the activities lined up for the 162nd Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL 2025).
The General Officer Commanding, 1 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and Commander, Sector 1 Joint Task Force North-West Operation FANSAN YAMMA, Maj.-Gen. Mayirenso Saraso, organised the epochal event.
In his remarks, the GOC, represented by the Chief of Staff (COS) 1 Division, Brig.- Gen. David Nwakonobi stressed the repercussions of drug abuse and bad behaviour in society.
He added that those vices and crimes were straying the children and youths from their ambitions.
Mr Saraso further highlighted the importance and resoluteness of the Nigerian Army in the past 162 years of holding and defending the nation.
The GOC further urged the students to remain focused and study hard to be great future leaders.
The dignitaries who graced the engagement included principal staff officers of 1 Division, Principals of Barewa College, Government Day Secondary School Tudun Junku Gaskia Road, and Local Government Education Authority officials, among others.
The highlights of the event were an interactive session, short talks and the presentation of writing materials to the students.
