Gov. Yusuf appoints new chief of staff, DG of special services

The appointments are part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery in Kano State.

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of Suleiman Sani as the new chief of staff in charge of the government house.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, on Thursday, Mr Yusuf said Mr Sani, a medical doctor and policy expert, brings over four decades of distinguished public service to the new role.

“His appointment is a testament to his commitment to public service and professional excellence. With a strong background in health policy, civil service reform, and social development,” the governor said.

He is well-positioned to support the governor in strengthening governance and service delivery in Kano State.

In a related development, Mr Yusuf has appointed Retired Maj.- Gen. Mohammed Sani as the new Director-General of Special Services at the Government House, Kano.

“Sani is a highly decorated retired infantry officer with over 35 years of service in the Nigerian Army.

“He brings a wealth of experience in peacekeeping, conflict resolution, and national security operations,” he said.

The appointments are part of the governor’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and service delivery in Kano State.

The new appointees are expected to assume office with immediate effect.
