Kano entrepreneurship school pledges support for young digital innovators

He said the school provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and practical projects.

The director and founder of Enthuse Entrepreneurship Secondary School, Khalifa Dankadai, has reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to training and grooming young innovators for success in the digital economy.

Mr Dankadai stated this while addressing journalists at an event in Kano to commemorate the World Youth Skills Day, organised in collaboration with the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), with the theme: Youth Empowerment Through AI and Digital Skills.

He said the school provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and practical projects, reflecting the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom.

“Our aim is to raise a generation of self-reliant youths with the capacity to innovate and solve problems using modern tools such as Artificial Intelligence and digital technology,” he said.

The event featured exhibitions of student-led projects and the presentation of awards to outstanding students and teachers.

In her remarks, the minister of state for education, Suwaiba  Ahmad, represented by Binta Abba, said the future of the country lies in the hands of young innovators.

She emphasised the importance of technical and digital education in repositioning Nigeria for sustainable development.

Also speaking, the chairman of the ACF, Kano State chapter, Goni Farooq, said the forum was proud to partner with the school and contribute to the success of the programme.

The special guest of honour, Tajuddeen Dantata, called on philanthropists and private organisations to support youth-driven initiatives aimed at national development.

Goodwill messages were delivered by dignitaries including the NDLEA commandant, Kano State, Abubakar Ahmad, and the commissioner for science, technology and innovation, Yusuf Kofarmata.

The event concluded with the presentation of awards and certificates to deserving students and teachers.
