The Federal Road Safety Corps decorated three corps commanders and three deputy corps commanders in Kaduna on Wednesday.

The zonal commanding officer, Ahmed Umar, and commandant of the Air Traffic Services Training Centre of the Nigerian Air Force in Kaduna, Nosiru Folaji, decorated the six newly promoted senior officers.

Mr Folaji highlighted the importance of collaboration and cooperation between government agencies, particularly in the security sector. He congratulated the newly promoted senior officers.

The commandant encouraged those who had not yet been promoted, assuring them that with perseverance and hard work, they would reach the pinnacle of their careers.

Earlier,  Mr Umar said  he was pleased with the number of officers from the Kaduna zone who were promoted, considering it a significant achievement.

He said, “Promotion comes with great responsibility and with great expectations.”

Mr Umar urged them to excel in their new roles, leveraging the mentorship and training they received in the zone.

“I  believe that the officers will shine in their new assignments, representing the zone and the organization with excellence,” he added.

He charged the officers to be good ambassadors of the zone and the organisation, upholding its values and reputation.

Corps Commander Lawan Fagge, who spoke on behalf of the newly promoted senior officers, appreciated the corps marshal, Shehu Mohammed, for the approval given and for rewarding them with such significant career advancements in the FRSC.

He also commended Mr Umar, sector commanders of RS1.1 Kaduna, RS1.2 Kano, RS1.3 Katsina, RS1.4 Jigawa, and all the senior officers of the zone for their guidance and encouragement.

Mr Fagge assured the management of FRSC that their promotions had given them the motivation to work with more commitment and dedication.

This, he said, was to ensure that FRSC achieved its goal of eradicating road traffic crashes and creating a safe motoring environment in Nigeria.
