Sanwo-Olu felicitates Ayangburen of Ikorodu on 10th coronation anniversary

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulated the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, on his 10th coronation anniversary.
Mr Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Saturday in Lagos by his special adviser on media and publicity, Gboyega Akosile, described Mr Shotobi as a visionary leader.
The governor said the reign of the traditional ruler had brought unprecedented growth and prosperity to Ikorodu.
“On behalf of my family, the government and people of Lagos State, I congratulate Oba Kabiru Shotobi on his 10th coronation as the paramount ruler of Ikorodu.
“He deserves all accolades for the impactful and purposeful life he has lived, especially in these last 10 years of his reign.
“Since ascending the throne of his forefathers a decade ago, Oba Shotobi has displayed exemplary leadership.
“His reign has been a beacon of wisdom, benevolence, and cultural heritage, enriching the lives of his subjects and the larger Lagos populace,” he said.
Mr Sanwo-Olu commended the traditional ruler’s commitment to peace, unity, and progress in Ikorodu.
The governor also said the traditional ruler’s efforts had strengthened Ikorodu’s development and elevated its cultural identity.
He praised Mr Shotobi’s contributions to the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs as vice chairman, saying his dedication has strengthened the state’s overall progress.
“As Oba Shotobi marks this milestone, it is my prayer that the Almighty will continue to bless him with good health, wisdom, and many more years of service to Ikorodu, Lagos State, and Nigeria,” he said.
