Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo, husband welcome second baby

Nigerian Gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, have welcomed their second child.
The “You Do This One’ crooner announced the news in a joint post with her spouse on Friday on Instagram.
The couple wrote, “The Lord has done it again! He has added to our joy… multiplied our laughter… and blessed us with the precious gift of a second baby. We declare: His name will be lifted in our lineage forever. Generations from us will walk in His light. Through us, many will be blessed, and the nations will call us blessed. To the glory of God… Welcome, our precious gift.”
Fans and colleagues joined the couple in welcoming their new bundle of joy.
The announcement of their second child’s arrival came a day after the couple marked their third wedding anniversary.
Mercy Chinwo rose to fame after winning the second season of the Nigerian talent show, Nigerian Idol, in 2012.
She later released several hit gospel songs, most notably ‘Excess Love,’ which became a nationwide anthem, and it gave her collaborations with international and Nigerian gospel artistes.
She and her husband Blessed tied the knot in August 2022. Pastor Blessed serves as the senior pastor of Water Brook Church and they welcomed their first child, Charis, in October 2023.
