First Rotech Group of Companies Ltd has announced that the Abuja Airport Garden City project will create housing accommodation for more than 3,000 residents, addressing the country’s housing deficit.

The company’s chairman, Austin Oguejiofor, shared the update with journalists on Saturday in Abuja, highlighting that the development would also stimulate economic activity within Abuja.

“We are not just building houses; we are creating a complete city where infrastructure is planned to serve people’s needs around the clock.

“From roads to power and security, everything is designed to international standards and built to last,” Mr Oguejiofor said.

He revealed that construction of the access road linking the city was underway, connecting the new city directly to the Abuja Industrial Park and the Abuja Airport Railway Station, which would enhance connectivity and accessibility for residents and businesses.

Mr Oguejiofor reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering critical infrastructure as a top priority.

He stated that construction began following approval from the Federal Capital Development Authority, marking a significant milestone in the project.

Mr. Oguejiofor listed key infrastructure elements, including 24-hour power supply, street lighting, high-speed internet, CCTV surveillance in public spaces, modern drainage and sanitation systems, and a continuous water supply.

He also mentioned a fully equipped hospital, pharmacies, fire and police stations, banks, recreational centres, schools, and well-landscaped green areas.

“The development is ideally positioned between the airport and central rail station and will become a thriving hub for residential and commercial life,” he said.

He added that T-One Technology Ltd was partnering on the project’s digital side, providing smart mapping tools and digital platforms to improve navigation and investment management for residents and stakeholders.

“Every element, from energy systems to digital accessibility, is aimed at providing a high standard of living for all,” Mr Oguejiofor said.
