Popular American judge Frank Caprio dies

Popular American judge, Frank Caprio, has died.
He was 88. Mr Caprio died following a protracted battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mr Caprio’s demise was announced on Wednesday via his Instagram handle by his son, David Caprio.
“Judge Frank Caprio passed away peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer,” the statement said. “Beloved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond. His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.”
According to the family, Mr Caprio would be remembered not only as a revered judge but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.
Growing up in the northeastern region of the United States, Mr Caprio was elected municipal court judge in 1985 and has since served for nearly 40 years.
His reality TV series, Caught in Providence, showcased his compassionate approach to justice.
The show aired for more than two decades, gaining millions of fans worldwide.
Before his death, the City Council of Providence named the courtroom where the late judge served ‘The Chief Judge Frank Caprio Courtroom’ as a retirement tribute.
