INEC issues certificates of return to Kano by-election winners

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has presented certificates of return to the members-elect of the Kano State House of Assembly who participated in the August 16 by-elections.
The certificates were presented on Friday at the INEC headquarters in Kano by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Abdu Zango.
The recipients are Garba Ya’u Gwarmai of the APC, elected to represent the Ghari/Tsanyawa Constituency, and Ali Hassan Shanono of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), elected to represent the Shanono/Bagwai Constituency.
In their separate remarks, the members-elect thanked INEC for conducting credible elections.
They also commended the electorate for giving them the mandate to serve, pledging to focus on healthcare, education, security, and the provision of potable water.
