NSCDC arrests two suspects for vandalising TCN tower in Kaduna

The Transmission Company of Nigeria on Sunday disclosed that two suspects were arrested in Kaduna for allegedly damaging a facility.
TCN, in a statement on X on Sunday, said officials of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) arrested them in possession of 24 pieces of vandalised high-tension tower members.
TCN said, “The Mashi Division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has apprehended two suspects in connection with the vandalism of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) 132kV Katsina-Daura line high-tension tower members in the Mashi Local Government Area of Katsina State.
“The suspected criminals were caught with 24 pieces of vandalised high-tension tower members believed to have been removed from Tower T-148 of the 132kV Katsina-Daura line along Yar Riga/Sile Uku Village.”
TCN stated that the suspects arrested on August 12 are 25-year-old Hambali Abubakar and 18-year-old Salisu Abubakar, both from the Yar Riga Village in Mashi LGA.
