In vehement crackdown on illegal migrants, the United States of America on Monday said America is for Americans, stating that over 1.6 million illegal immigrants have been deported in less than 200 days of President Donald Trump’s administration.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security which announced the number of aliens deported from the country in a social media post said the deportations would continue.

“America belongs to Americans. In less than 200 days, 1.6 million illegal aliens have left our country. A good start, but the work continuesThe days of open borders and coddling criminals are over, ” the U.S. DHS said.

The staggering 1.6 million aliens deported from U.S. followed Mr Trump’s campaign promise to deport illegal immigrants after returning to the White House.

Since his second return to the White House, Mr Trump’s administration gave illegal migrants an option to self deport, or be hunted by security agencies.

Mr Trump has also made U.S. visa application more stringent with mandated social media screening for applicants.

The U.S. has also entered agreements with some African countries such as Rwanda, Uganda and Eswatini to accept hundreds of deportees.
