President Donald Trump, on Thursday, charged Britain’s Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, to go after illegal immigrants  flocking into the UK with the military.

Mr Trump made this call discussing immigration issues with Mr Starmer during his official visit to the UK.

“I think your situation is very similar, Mr Trump said. “You have people coming in, and I told the prime minister I would stop it, and it doesn’t matter if you call out the military, it doesn’t matter what means you use.”

The American president said illegal immigration “destroys countries from within,” adding that his administration is “actually now removing a lot of the people that came into our country.”

Over 2 million illegal immigrants have been deported from the U.S. since Mr Trump assumed office for the second term in the White House, according to U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Mr Trump’s admonition comes a few weeks after Mr Starmer threatened that foreigners working illegally in the country will be arrested, detained and deported.

“My message is clear: Illegal entry means detention,” Mr Starmer said in a Facebook post on September 1. “Illegal work means arrest. Foreign national offenders will be deported.”
