Vice-President Kashim Shettima and governors of Kogi and Delta states have congratulated the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birthday.

In his birthday message to the first lady on Sunday, Mr Shettima described her as a symbol of womanhood, strength, and compassion.

He said, “Our dear First Lady and inestimable mother of our great nation, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, Happy 65th birthday, Ma. Words cannot define what this day means to us all – from my family, staff, and indeed the entire nation. 65 may be a figure but to us, it is a reflection of countless years of brilliant motherhood. It is an exemplary service to nationhood, and a reflection of the brilliance, compassion, and unwavering support that a First Lady can provide to her husband and an entire nation.”

He stated that when the history of Nigeria and in particular, President Bola Tinubu’s administration was written, the name of the first lady would be inscribed in gold.

He added, “You have earned it with your passion, good heart, service, sense of decorum, and strength that you have brought to bear on our nation’s development and progress. Your sense of unity and upliftment of humanity is legendary. You have touched millions of lives through your Renewed Hope Initiative, which reverberates across the nation. Thank you for all you do, Your Excellency.’’

Mr Shettima noted that the first lady’s empathy touched countless lives, adding that her commitment to women’s empowerment, youth development, education, and empowerment of the needy remained a testament to her enduring legacy.

He said, “As you celebrate this milestone birthday, we honour your quiet strength, resilience, and devotion to our great nation. Your partnership with President Bola Tinubu has been a beacon of hope for many. You have made a tremendous impact on the lives of Nigerians. Here’s wishing you continued good health, joy, peace, and fulfilment. May your years ahead be filled with love, laughter, and celebration. You are not just a First Lady but a symbol of womanhood, strength, and compassion. Happy birthday, Your Excellency.”

Also, Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori’s congratulatory message to Mrs Tinubu was in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, in Asaba on Sunday.

The governor described the first lady as a woman of grace, compassion and an exemplary leader.

He extolled Mrs Tinubu for her remarkable contributions to nation-building, empowerment of women and youths and her advocacy for good governance over the years.

He hailed her unwavering commitment to the welfare of Nigerians through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI).

According to the governor, her programmes have become a beacon of hope for vulnerable citizens, delivering scholarships to indigent students and providing food palliatives to households.

The governor stated, “She has supported small-scale farmers empowering women and persons with disabilities to lead more meaningful lives. On behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I warmly congratulate Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 65th birth anniversary. She is a role model and inspiration whose life of service and dedication has touched countless lives in Delta State and across our nation.’’

Mr Oborevwori prayed that God would continue to grant her good health, divine wisdom, and many more years of fruitful service to the nation.

In a message he personally signed in Lokoja, Kogi State governor, Ahmed Ododo, described the first lady as “an amazon and a source of inspiration to millions of Nigerians.”

The governor extolled the virtues of Mrs Tinubu, whose life, he said, was of impact, devotion to God, and unwavering service to the nation.

Mr Ododo stated. “We, in Kogi State, celebrate your life of compassion, exemplary strength, and dedication to the welfare of women, children, and the less privileged. You continue to inspire hope across Nigeria, At 65, you embodied the grace of God and the testimony of a purposeful life. We have the confidence that you will continue to support President Bola Tinubu and champion noble causes that will further uplift the Nigerian nation. On behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, I heartily rejoice with you, and I pray that the Almighty will grant you many more years in good health, wisdom, and strength.”
