El-Rufai’s comments distracting; ignore him, APC chieftain tells Tinubu

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Delta State, Victor Ogba, has advised President Bola Tinubu to disregard remarks made by a former Kaduna State governor,Nasir El-Rufai.
Mr Ogba, who is also President of the Movement for National Transformation (MNT), gave the advice during an interview on Saturday.
He said the former governor’s comments were unhelpful and capable of distracting from the administration’s reform agenda.
According to Mr Ogba, Mr El-Rufai’s criticisms reflect long-standing political differences rather than genuine concern for national progress.
He urged Nigerians to focus on the achievements of the Tinubu administration, noting that the President had demonstrated commitment to economic recovery, national unity, and inclusive governance.
“President Tinubu should not allow himself to be drawn into unnecessary exchanges. Nigerians are interested in results, not distractions,” Mr Ogba said.
The APC chieftain described the President as a leader with a national outlook, adding that ongoing reforms would speak louder than personal attacks.
Mr Ogba also called on Nigerians to rally behind the government, stressing that unity and support were vital for overcoming current challenges.
