Tinubu’s independence anniversary address morale booster, says youth coalition

The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders has described President Bola Tinubu’s Independence Day speech as a morale booster for the nation’s youth.
The president-general of the coalition, Goodluck Ibem, said this in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Ibem applauded the President’s unwavering commitment to national renewal and reforms initiated since assuming office.
He said that the speech resonated deeply with the youth, particularly as the president highlighted transformations across various sectors of the economy, with emphasis on youth empowerment and dedication to national security.
“We recognise that the future of Nigeria lies in the hands of its youth, and we are inspired by the administration’s vision of nurturing an environment where innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship thrive.
“The various programmes such as NELFUND, Credicorp, and YouthCred herald a new era for the youth because these initiatives, aimed at providing loans for educational and entrepreneurial endeavours, are vital.
“As representatives of the youth, we are eager to actively engage with the government to ensure these programmes are effectively implemented and made accessible to all young Nigerians,” he said.
Mr Ibem further said that the coalition would commit to mobilising young Nigerians for productive engagement across various sectors.
He called on youths across the country to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship and foster a culture of production rather than consumption.
“Together, we must bolster initiatives that promote and accelerate local manufacturing and agricultural productivity. We believe that by working collaboratively, we can fulfill the lofty dreams set forth 65 years ago,” he added.
