Governor Radda hails army’s efforts in tackling insecurity in Katsina

Governor Dikko Radda has commended the Nigerian Army for its sustained efforts in tackling security challenges in Katsina and across the country.
Mr Radda gave the commendation on Wednesday during a visit to army chief Olufemi Oluyede at the army headquarters in Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday.
The governor praised the dedication and resilience of troops combating banditry and other security threats in Katsina, stating that their sacrifices had led to significant improvements in the security situation.
He also lauded the army chief for his continuous support to the troops and his recent visit to Katsina, which he said boosted the morale of personnel operating in the state.
Mr Radda expressed his administration’s readiness to partner with the army in establishing an additional unit in the state to further strengthen security operations.
He also acknowledged the synergy between the Katsina Community Watch Corps and the army, saying such collaboration was key to defeating criminal elements and restoring peace.
Mr Oluyede thanked the governor for the visit and pledged the army’s continued commitment to protecting law-abiding citizens and creating a secure environment for economic growth.
He also appreciated the government and people of Katsina for their consistent support of the army and called for sustained cooperation in the fight against insecurity.
