Administrator urges residents to obtain PVCs

Garba Adigizi, the administrator of the Akun area administrative council in Nasarawa, has called on the residents of the area and other Nigerians without Permanent Voter Cards to register in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration.
This, he said, was to enable them to obtain their PVCs ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The administrator made the call on Friday during a meeting in Akun with officials of the Eggon Youth Association, Akun Development Area.
Mr Adigizi said that a PVC was the only weapon that the electorate would use to elect leaders of their choice, hence the need for his call in that direction.
The administrator said that he decided to call for the meeting to mobilise the people who had yet to obtain PVCs.
Mr Adigizi appreciated them for supporting his administration and that of Governor Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
“I want to appreciate you for supporting Governor Abdullahi Sule and my administration to succeed.
”For you and other people of the state to continue to enjoy the much-needed dividends of democracy, let’s all continue to support Sule’s administration to succeed,” he said.
The administrator promised continued commitment to providing comprehensive and purposeful leadership to the people of the area.
Mr Adigizi enjoined the people of the area to continue to live in unity, peace, and to tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
Friday Agah, the EYA chairman, thanked the administrator for being proactive in ensuring the development of the area.
He assured him of their loyalty and support to succeed.
