The Kano government has reaffirmed its commitment to completing major infrastructure projects aimed at boosting public welfare.

The commissioner for project monitoring, Nura Ma’aji, said in a statement he issued in Kano on Tuesday sequel following the inspection of some ongoing projects in the state.

According to him, the ongoing construction of Dan’Agundi and Tal’udu overhead bridges will be finished by December.

Mr Ma’aji said compensation and related issues had been settled to ensure timely completion.

He stated regular inspections were being conducted for quality and speed, stressing that the bridges would ease traffic congestion.

Mr Ma’aji said that the projects were set for inauguration in January 2026, as part of the state’s extant infrastructure development plan.

He appealed for public support to help achieve the government’s goals.
