Man, 30, arraigned over alleged theft of N650,000 Bajaj motorcycle

A 30-year-old man, Festar Adamu, on Tuesday appeared before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for alleged theft of a Bajaj boxer motorcycle worth N650,000.
Adamu, whose address was not provided, is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendant conspired with others at large to commit the alleged crime on January 15, at 5.00 a.m. on Olohunda Street in Adamo area of Ikorodu.
The prosecutor said that the alleged offence contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, A. O. Ogbe, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
Ogbe said that the sureties must provide evidence of tax payment and have their addresses verified.
He adjourned the case until January 15, 2026, for mention.
