Senate confirms six commissioners for RMAFC

The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the appointment of six persons as commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
This followed the presentation and consideration of the report of the Senate Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs during plenary.
Chairman of the committee, Yahaya Abdullahi, who presented the report, said that the committee was confident that the nominees possessed the requisite knowledge.
He said, “We are convinced of their suitability.”
Those confirmed are Bello Wamakko, Sokoto State; Hadizatu Mustapha, Borno State; Marafa Abba, Taraba State; Ahmed Hassan, Adamawa; Bob Inafa, Bayelsa State; and Gboyega Oladele, Osun State.
In his remarks, Deputy Senate President Jibrin Barau, who presided over the plenary, said that the appointment of the nominees was a call to serve the nation.
