Tinubu swears in two new ministers, tasks them on efficient service
President Bola Tinubu on Thursday swore in two new ministers — Bernard Doro from Plateau and Kingsley Udeh (SAN) from Enugu State.
The brief swearing-in ceremony was held at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja, shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, attended by all cabinet members.
Mr Tinubu urged the newly appointed ministers to bring their wealth of experience to bear in the discharge of their duties, stressing the importance of efficiency and service delivery.
Mr Doro, a pharmacist and lawyer, replaces Nentawe Yilwatda, a former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, who now serves as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Mr Udeh fills the vacancy created by the resignation of former Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, Uche Nnaji, who resigned recently following controversies surrounding his academic credentials.
Mr Udeh previously served as the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State before his appointment as minister.
The two new ministers were earlier screened and cleared by the Senate.
The portfolios of the new ministers were yet to be announced as of the time of filing this report.
