Early accreditation, voting at Anambra polling unit

Early accreditation and voting were recorded at Afor Agbola II polling unit, Registration Area Awka IV in Awka South Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra during Saturday’s election in Anambra State.
Voting in the area started at 8.25am.
A voter, Raymond Eze, residing at Ezi Awka village who voted at 8.40a.m. expressed happiness for voting.
The septuagenarian urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that every vote counted.
He said that transparency in every election would make the electorate believe in government and the process.
Another resident of the area, Mmesoma Nwokoye, 24, who voted at the polling unit said she believed in the electoral process, hence she the reason she came out to vote.
She stated, “I am satisfied with the electoral process, that is why I came out to choose the candidate of my choice.”
An All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party agent in the polling unit, Ifeoma Nnolim, also expressed satisfaction with the ongoing accreditation and voting.
She stated, “Everything is going on well because the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) machines are functioning. The voters here are also orderly.’’
Also, the All Progressives Congress party agent, Chidiebere Ejiaso, expressed satisfaction with the accreditation and voting at the polling unit.
According to him, the voters conducted themselves peacefully.
He said, “I believe that we will finish on time here because the INEC officials arrived on time.”
