30-year-old man in court for stealing nails

A 30-year-old man, Garuba Ashiru, on Friday, appeared before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for allegedly stealing bags of nails.
Mr Ashiru, whose address was not provided, is standing trial on a two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Insp. Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on November 10 at approximately 1:00 a.m. at Iwo Road in Ibadan.
He alleged that the defendant and others at large conspired to steal three bags of nails worth N90,000 belonging to one Adebayo Bayonle Enterprise.
The prosecutor said the offence contravenes the provisions of sections 390(9) and 516 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The magistrate, Moyosore Atanda, granted the defendant N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
She adjourned the case until December 10 for a hearing.
