Kano: PalmPay launches anti-fraud campaign

PalmPay Ltd., a financial technology platform, on Tuesday launched an anti-fraud campaign in Kano to create a healthy financial ecosystem and eliminate fraudulent activities on its platform.
The managing director of PalmPay Ltd., Chika Reginald-Nwosu, stated that the campaign was designed to protect customers from fraudsters and ensure users feel secure while using the platform.
He advised customers to be cautious when receiving links on their phones or via social media and to verify any suspicious links before clicking them.
Mr Reginald-Nwosu also warned against sharing personal numbers or information with unknown individuals.
He noted that the company had over two million ATM cards in circulation, and customers could use these cards to make withdrawals at any commercial bank’s ATM machines across the country.
“PalmPay is committed to eliminating fraud on its platform and working to bring the incidence of fraud to zero level. This initiative is part of PalmPay’s efforts to promote a safe and secure digital payment environment in Nigeria,” he said.
