APC governors fully behind Tinubu on insecurity fight, says Uzodimma

Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo has reaffirmed the support of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors for President Bola Tinubu’s efforts at tackling insecurity in the country.
Mr Uzodimma, who is also the chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF), said that security is a shared responsibility that requires coordinated action between the federal and state governments.
This is contained in a statement issued by Uzodimma’s Media Office in Abuja on Friday.
Mr Uzodinma had led a delegation of the APC governors on a visit to the Kebbi government.
He said the governors were in Kebbi to express solidarity with Mr Tinubu and to reiterate their collective commitment to supporting the federal government’s renewed efforts to restore security and protect citizens.
Mr Uzodimma praised the dedication of servicemen and women working to protect lives and property and commended ongoing efforts to refine intelligence-led operations, improve rapid response capabilities and enhance civil–military cooperation.
He also reiterated their belief that sustainable peace required both decisive security action and long-term social and economic strategies.
Mr Uzodimma pledged the governors’ commitment to work hand in hand with Mr Tinubu’s administration to ensure that policies are effectively implemented at the grassroots and that successes are replicated across states.
