The police command in Kaduna said its operatives, in synergy with the military and other security agencies, have launched a massive clearance operation across the state.

The command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, disclosed in a statement on Tuesday.

Mr Hassan said, “The operation was launched in a renewed and intensified effort to combat insurgents, bandits and other criminal elements across Kaduna state and its environs.

“The command, in synergy with the military, Department of State Services, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kaduna State Vigilance Service, and local hunters, has launched a comprehensive clearance operation within Makarfi, Hunkuyi, and Ikara local government areas.”

He said the operation was strategically designed to flush out criminal hideouts, dismantle illegal camps and restore absolute peace and stability within all the nooks and crannies of the affected areas.

“It is also in strict compliance with the marching orders of the inspector general of police, Kayode Egbetokun, directing all Commands to intensify efforts toward eliminating crime and criminality in their jurisdictions,” Mr Hassan said.

Police commissioner Muhammad Rabiu assured the public that these operations would be continuous and robust, with all the security agencies maintaining close collaboration to ensure a crime-free environment.

“The command remains firmly committed to sustaining the peaceful atmosphere currently being enjoyed across the state,“Mr Hassan said.
