Gov. Makinde approves 13th-month salary bonus for Oyo workers

The governor also announced the payment of outstanding salaries to staff of LAUTECH.

Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the payment of the 13th-month salary bonus for 2025 to Oyo State workers.

Mr Makinde announced this on Monday at the executive chamber of his office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan, while inaugurating the governing board, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso.

He said the 13th-month salary had been the practice since his assumption of office in 2019.

The governor also announced the payment of outstanding salaries and minimum wage arrears of members of staff of LAUTECH.

He assured that he would soon resolve the issue of the institution’s medical lecturers embarking on a strike.

He charged the newly inaugurated governing board to revamp the Oyo annexe of the teaching hospital within 12 months, promising the state government’s support to make the facility operational.

The newly inaugurated governing board is headed by Banji Oyelaran-Oyeyinka, with Aderemi Adediji to serve as the secretary.

Other members are Gabriel Oyelade, Adebayo Taiwo, Agnes Isola, Kehinde Ayinde, Adebayo Olakulehin, Adenike Olugbenga-Bello and Oluwajoba Olayinka.

On behalf of the board, Mr Oyelaran-Oyeyinka thanked the governor for the opportunity to serve.

He assured the board’s readiness to complement the government’s efforts with policies that would transform the teaching hospital into a world-class facility.
