The Ona of Abaji, Adamu Yunusa, has hailed President Bola Tinubu and FCT minister Nyesom Wike for the ongoing infrastructural transformation of Abuja.
Mr Yunusa, the chairman of the FCT Council of Chiefs, gave the commendation when members of the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, led by its coordinator, Adamu Abdullahi visited him in his palace on Thursday. The ambassadors also visited Gwargwada, Rubochi, Yaba, Wako, Pai, and Zuba chiefdoms.
The traditional ruler described Mr Wike as a true ambassador of Mr Tinubu’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’. He specifically praised the minister for the ongoing infrastructural development in the FCT, particularly satellite towns and called for more interventions in the education sector to liberate the people.
The chief of Pai, in Kwali council, Abubakar Pai, commended Mr Tinubu for the extensive road network in rural communities, stressing that it made transportation of farm produce to the city centre easier.
Also, the Agora of Zuba, Muhammad Umar, expressed confidence in the ambassadors’ ability to serve Abuja and pledged continued support for the progress and unity of the territory.
Mr Abdullahi explained that the visit was aimed at familiarising the ambassadors with traditional rulers in Abuja, and to seek their blessings and guidance. He added that the visit was also to strengthen relationships and seek their support for the success of the Tinubu-led administration.
He assured the traditional rulers that their pleas would be documented and presented to Mr Tinubu, whom he described as a listening president.
