The Bauchi State government has launched an online portal to recruit 10,000 residents into various ministries, departments, and agencies.

Governor Bala Mohammed disclosed this on Friday before a stakeholders’ meeting on the recruitment process.

He said the session would guide fair engagement, adding that many citizens had already applied through the portal.

“I invited you because the Head of Service has produced a template and briefed us on the employment of 10,000 so far.

“There are 214 job types with 5,669 vacancies across 18 MDAs, and people from every council have applied,” he said.

Mr Mohammed said only 5,669 vacancies were currently available, assuring that remaining applicants would be considered next year.

He urged stakeholders to support an equitable and accountable recruitment plan.
