ADC chair David Mark felicitates Nigerians, demands vigilance

The national chairman of the African Democratic Congress, David Mark, has felicitated Nigerians on Christmas, urging vigilance, unity, and collective commitment to national cohesion.
In a statement on Thursday, the former Senate president called on Nigerians to embrace peace, tolerance, and harmonious coexistence across religious and ethnic divides nationwide.
According to Mr Mark, the celebration of Christmas symbolises love, sacrifice, humility, and service, values Nigerians must uphold despite prevailing economic challenges and security concerns.
He noted that the season offered an opportunity for citizens to show compassion, assist the less privileged, and strengthen bonds of unity across communities.
Mr Mark stated that Nigeria’s diversity remained its greatest strength, urging citizens to uphold tolerance, mutual respect, and peaceful coexistence. He further urged Nigerians to support the ADC as a credible platform for good governance, accountability, and the promotion of human rights.
The ADC chairman also called on leaders at all levels to demonstrate selfless service, justice, and transparency in the discharge of public responsibilities.
Mr Mark urged citizens to remain hopeful, law-abiding, and committed to nation-building despite prevailing socio-economic challenges facing the country.
“As we celebrate this festive season, may peace reign in our communities, joy fill our homes, and renewed hope inspire us for the year ahead,” he said.
