Canada’s police declare Nigerian wanted for allegedly assaulting vulnerable adults at Toronto care home

Canadian police have declared a Nigerian, Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, wanted for allegedly assaulting vulnerable adults at the Toronto Group home.
Mr Ejerua, 38, was declared wanted after the police were called to the area of Sibley and Detonia Park avenues for reports of an assault.
In a statement dated December 31, 2025, the police said the suspect was employed as a caregiver at the group home.
“The Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance locating a man wanted in an assault investigation,” the statement read.
It noted that the accused committed a series of assaults on the residents of the home between November 1 and November 30, 2025, adding that he was wanted for “seven counts of assault.”
The police, however, neither revealed the number of the victims allegedly assaulted by Mr Ejerua nor the manner of injuries he inflicted on them.
The authorities urged anyone with information to contact them or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
“He is described as 5’8, with a medium build, black curly hair, and black facial hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-5500, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), or at www.222tips.com,” the statement stated.
