Eredo LCDA chairman pledges transformation, infrastructural development

Monsuru Akinloye, chairman of the Eredo LCDA in Lagos, has vowed to pursue a comprehensive transformation agenda and community development initiatives in the first quarter of 2026.
Mr Akinloye made the pledge while addressing journalists at the council secretariat in Eredo-Epe on Tuesday.
He said that priority would be given to infrastructure development, improvements in community welfare/well-being, and people-oriented programmes across the council area.
He added that the council would focus on the rehabilitation of inner roads, the improvement of drainage systems, and the upgrading of public facilities to enhance economic activities and ease residents’ movement.
The chairman also disclosed plans to strengthen community development initiatives through collaboration with traditional rulers, community development associations and other stakeholders to ensure inclusive and sustainable growth.
According to him, the administration remains committed to transparency, accountability and efficient service delivery.
He added that the first-quarter programmes would lay a solid foundation for accelerated development throughout the year.
Mr Akinloye said that all sectors of the economy, including health centres, education, agriculture, sport, tourism, culture and arts, among others, would be upgraded.
