Super Eagles forward Akor Adams has disclosed that his mother was admitted to a hospital in the morning, before the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations second-round match against Mozambique on Monday.

The Sevilla of Spain striker, who scored his first-ever AFCON goal for the Super Eagles in the 75th minute of the match, to make it 4-0, dedicated it to his sick mother.

“The goal is dedicated to my mum. She is supposed to be here, but she is in the hospital. She was admitted this morning, but she is much better now.

“I am happy for the team. Victor had a fantastic game, and Lookman had a fantastic game. We came out with a victory, and we are happy,” Adams told journalists after the match.
