APC e-registration key to 2027 planning, says Lagos lawmaker

A Lagos lawmaker, Stephen Ogundipe, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) e-registration as vital for effective planning ahead of the 2027 elections.
Mr Ogundipe, representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency I, stated this on Tuesday in Lagos, shortly after registering under the newly introduced electronic system.
He spoke while responding to journalists’ questions following his formal enrolment as a party member through the digital registration platform.
According to him, the database generated will become a powerful planning instrument for the party at both the state and national levels.
Mr Ogundipe, the chairman of the House Committee on Information, said the data would support analysis of age, religion, and gender distribution among party members.
He added that the information would help the party conduct a detailed SWOT analysis, enabling informed decisions and targeted political strategies nationwide.
“The new e-registration is not just about numbers but understanding our structure and dynamics for better, more scientific planning,” Mr Ogundipe said.
The lawmaker urged residents and party faithful, especially in Oshodi-Isolo, to participate actively in the ongoing registration exercise.
He said mass participation would demonstrate support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Mr Ogundipe noted that mobilisation was crucial, adding that the president was dissatisfied with the APC’s performance in Lagos during the last election.
“With unity and proper mobilisation, we can reposition the party and secure stronger results in future elections,” he added.
The exercise aims to strengthen internal structures, boost engagement, and consolidate nationwide support for the APC.
