Governor Dikko Radda has approved the appointment of the chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Katsina council, Tukur Hassan-Dan Ali, as a permanent secretary.

The head of civil service, Falalu Bawale, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

It said that Mr Hassan-Dan Ali, from Danmusa local government, was appointed alongside Junaidu Muntari from Kankara and Yahaya Abdullahi from Safana local government areas.

He said the appointments were based on merit, as the appointees had passed a merit-based examination conducted by the Public Service Institute of Nigeria on behalf of the state government.
